It divides your life into roughly 10-year chapters, each governed by a new Stem-Branch pair that overlays your birth chart like a colored filter on a camera lens. The underlying image stays the same, but the tint changes everything you see.

How Major Fortune Is Calculated

You don't need to calculate this by hand — Astrobloom does it automatically. But understanding the logic helps you trust the output.

Step 1: Start From the Month Pillar

Your Month Pillar is the seed. Major Fortune cycles are generated by walking forward or backward through the Stem-Branch sequence starting from that pillar.

Step 2: Determine Direction

The direction — forward or backward — depends on two factors:

"Forward" means counting ahead in the 60-unit Stem-Branch cycle. "Backward" means counting in reverse.

Step 3: Calculate Onset Age

The age at which your first Major Fortune begins is determined by the distance (in days) between your birth date and the next (or previous) solar term boundary. Every three days equals roughly one year. Most people begin their first Major Fortune between ages 1 and 10.

Step 4: Each Decade Gets a Stem-Branch Pair

Once the sequence and starting age are set, each subsequent decade inherits the next Stem-Branch in line. Within each decade:

• The Stem tends to dominate the first five years
