Wealth Patterns emerge when the Month Branch protrudes a Wealth star (Direct or Indirect). Wealth represents "what I control and manage," so these Patterns center on resource operation.

Direct Wealth Pattern (正财格, Zhèng Cái Gé)

Keywords: Steady, practical, compound growth

Direct Wealth is the resource you manage through consistent, disciplined effort. Think of it as earned income rather than a windfall.

Profile: Direct Wealth Pattern people are the steady accumulators. They're excellent at managing what they have, building systems for reliable growth, and making incremental improvements. They honor commitments, prefer proven methods, and rarely gamble on long shots. In a team, they're the person who actually reads the financial reports.

Thrives in: Financial management, operations, established business, real estate, anything requiring patience and systematic management.

Pattern succeeds when: Wealth is protected from being seized by Companion/Rob Wealth stars. Even better if Eating God or Hurting Officer are present to "feed" the Wealth (output generates resources).

Indirect Wealth Pattern (偏财格, Piān Cái Gé)

Indirect Wealth is fluid, dynamic resource — more like investment returns, bonuses, or social capital.

Profile: Indirect Wealth Pattern people are natural networkers and opportunity spotters. They're generous with money (it flows through them rather than sticking), socially gifted, and multi-talented. Output Patterns emerge when the Month Branch protrudes an Eating God or Hurting Officer star. These represent "what I produce," so their core theme is expression and creation.

Eating God Pattern (食神格, Shí Shén Gé)

Eating God is gentle, natural output — the kind of creativity that flows without forcing.

Profile: Eating God Pattern people are the artists and natural teachers. They have a warm, easygoing disposition, genuine creative talent, and a deep appreciation for life's pleasures — good food, beauty, comfort. Their output feels effortless and organic. They don't like being constrained and prefer to let things unfold naturally. In a software team, they're the developer who writes elegant, readable code without seeming to try.

Hurting Officer Pattern (伤官格, Shāng Guān Gé)

Pattern succeeds when: Properly channeled. "Hurting Officer with Resource" (有印制, yǒu yìn zhì) means discipline channeling raw talent. "Hurting Officer generates Wealth" means talent converts to value. But "Hurting Officer meets Officer" (伤官见官, shāng guān jiàn guān) creates friction — the rebel clashing directly with authority.

Authority Patterns emerge when the Month Branch protrudes an Officer or Killings star. These represent "what controls me," so their core theme is responsibility and order.

Seven Killings Pattern (七杀格, Qī Shā Gé)

Seven Killings is raw, unfiltered pressure — the kind that either breaks you or makes you extraordinary.

Profile: Seven Killings Pattern people are forged under pressure and they thrive there. They're decisive, competitive, action-oriented, and relentless. They don't care about looking polished — they care about winning. They lead through force of will and sheer capability. In a startup, they're the founder who pushes through every obstacle by refusing to accept failure as an option.
